This Privacy Policy explains how Where is the picture? (whereisthepicture.com) handles your data.

1. Data We Collect

Uploaded images: Processed in memory to extract GPS metadata and/or perform AI analysis. Images are not saved to our servers.
Usage analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, interactions). No personally identifiable information is collected.
Payment data: Payments are handled entirely by Payhip. We receive only a transaction confirmation and, optionally, your email address for purchase records. We do not store card numbers or payment details.
Credits: AI analysis credits are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). We do not store them on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide the photo geolocation service.
To record purchase transactions for accounting purposes.
To improve the service through anonymous analytics.

3. Third-Party Services

Google Gemini AI: Images without GPS are sent to Google's Gemini API for location analysis. See Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for Google Analytics and to remember your cookie consent preference. No tracking cookies are used for advertising purposes.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

6. Data Retention

Purchase records (email + transaction ID) are retained for accounting and fraud prevention purposes for up to 5 years, as required by Spanish law.
